NAECU: North Alabama Educators Credit Union

About NAECU

North Alabama Educators Credit Union was established in 1955 to serve employees of the local educational community. Office operations began in Huntsville, Alabama and have expanded over the years to include branch locations in Athens and Madison plus over 5,000 branches available through the CO-OP Shared Branching Network. The credit union now serves over 11,000 members and has accumulated over $127 Million in total assets.

North Alabama Educators Credit Union follows the philosophy of “Not for Profit, not for Charity, but for Service.” The credit union exists for the sole purpose of serving the financial needs of our membership. Account holders at North Alabama Educators Credit Union are referred to as "members" because they actually own a share of the credit union. The members own the credit union and receive value through lower loan rates, higher savings rates, and reduced service fees.
